We would like to welcome you to Mwangaza Bidii Project and Ethical Traveling/Tourism Platform for engagement with our projects that allows travelers to discover, support, and interact with our organization and benefit our community as well. We connect with interested travelers to participate in activities directly organized by us. We do this through our staff, our volunteers and our members.

You travel while visiting around Kenya will make an impact because you care about us! Your travel experiences will make a difference too! Ready to make a change, one visit at a time and immersive travel experiences you won’t find anywhere else i.e., hike, weave, bike, surf & cook with local communities, but this time, making an impact.

Tours and activities are developed with environmental sustainability in mind, that is;

  • Include meaningful and respectful interaction with members of the community if and when appropriate.
  • Maintain a respectful approach towards local cultural traditions and social structures previously established.
  • Reinvest proceeds back into the community through projects or a shared profit model.
  • Operate with the involvement, consent, and engagement of the local community and ensure benefits to local community members.
  • Our tours are socially responsible and will benefit the community thus we will make socially conscious travel easy, fun, and accessible.
  • Visits will provide our organization with additional revenue that will be invested directly back into the community. They will increase local demand for guides, food, accommodation, and other hospitality needs, there by triggering communal economic development. Just by showing up and paying (an affordable price) for the visit, visitors will be making a positive impact.
  • It will be an eye-opening, transformative experiences foster relationships, educate donors, and contribute to a better informed public discussion and improved public policy.
  • Visitors will be generating additional support and income for our great organization, bolster the capacity to accomplish the goals as they strengthen our organization, they will enhance our work towards strengthening humanity.

While Ethical travel is a mindful travel and an awareness of impact for one to explore the world, our style of travel means you will stay under the radar, travel the local way, eat the local way and sleep the local way, home stay accommodation will be nice, get meeting with local people. Truly, it will be local friendly/local specialties.

Equally importantly, we have a variety of social, leisure activities and tourist destinations in our country Kenya and in this connection, we arrange tour expeditions and then invite tourists/travelers and the holiday makers to promote tourism and benefit local Githurai community.

We seek to give a voice to travelers to share their concerns and recommendations in order to encourage more equitable and sustainable tourism and travel.

We are joined by our passion for experiential travel and social impact. We are building the platform for engagement with potential time travelers while allowing millions of users to discover, support, and interact with our organization both virtually and in-person.

We aim to help travelers to take responsibility for their impact by choosing ethical options for what to do, duration of stay and being responsible, sensitive and wellinformed whilst travelling.

Volunteering.

Wanting to travel and experience new cultures in around Kenya is surely a good thing. One could say the same about volunteering and in return; it will bring real benefits to the destinations and provide them a rewarding experience.

 People who volunteer overseas generally hope to do something interesting that they will learn from and that will help other people.

They will then experience the real community and the community would get real benefits as a result. Our organization aims to promote best practice in volunteering, to maximize the beneficial developmental impacts in the community where volunteering will take place, minimize the negative impacts, and to ensure volunteers have a worthwhile experience.
